The American Journalism Project is planning on investing $1 million in Spotlight PA over the next three years to counter the decline of local journalism and facilitate the newsroom to provide vital reporting.
The investment will also allow the newsroom to add important business and operations positions in a bid to grow its staff and support local, nonpartisan accountability reporting throughout Pennsylvania.
Additionally, The Lenfest Institute for Journalism will match the American Journalism Project’s commitment with another $1 million.
Spotlight PA was selected based on its strong and growing support from people and foundations across Pennsylvania.
