Allissa Kline has been hired by American Banker as its newest reporter.
She will be on the team covering larger banks and will start Feb. 3. Previously, she was working at Buffalo Business First as a staff reporter.
She has been at Business First since 2008 covering the banking and finance beat.
Before joining Buffalo Business First, she was working as a freelance writer at Buffalo Spree Publishing. Kline was also bids and proposals editor and staff reporter at Ecology and Environment Inc. and The Observer-Dispatch, respectively.
Additionally, she held the post of bureau intern at The Post-Standard.
Kline has a bachelor’s degree in English, creative writing and religion from Colgate University and a master’s degree in journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
