Paul Davis, who oversees community banking and mergers and acquisitions coverage at American Banker, is leaving the publication.
He is joining Strategic Resource Management, an advisory firm in Memphis, Tenn., as director of market intelligence and will start his new job on June 1.
Davis has been in an editing role at American Banker for the past decade. He previously covered financial and strategic developments at the largest banks in the Southeast, including in-depth analysis of the financial crisis and subsequent reform efforts.
Before American Banker, Davis worked at the Triad Business Journal for five years and at SNL Financial in Charlottesville, Va., as a news director.
