Paul Hodkinson has been hired as editor in chief of ALM Media’s Legal Week publication.
He will start in mid-December.
Hodkinson has been deputy editor, acting editor and comment editor of Dow Jones Media Group’s Financial News over the last five years and was editor of its Private Equity News publication before that. Previously, he was a reporter and news editor with Legal Week between 2002 and 2008.
“We are excited to have Paul’s expertise to lead Legal Week into the future,” said Molly Miller, chief content officer at ALM, in a statement. “Legal Week is a critical brand within our portfolio of 19 legal publications and Paul’s editorial leadership will be key to meeting our goals for audience growth and engagement for the brand’s future.”
Hodkinson will work with managing editor Benjamin Wheway and deputy news editor Rose Walker as ALM looks to bring London’s legal news to the world. ALM recently put Legal Week’s content on Law.com.
“I’m really looking forward to working with Legal Week again,” said Hodkinson in a statement. “I always enjoyed covering the legal profession and believe there is a great opportunity to take Legal Week’s already excellent brand and use it to help build up ALM’s global coverage.”
