ALM, which owns business and legal newspapers and websites, announced Monday that it has combined its life and health insurance coverage and reporting under its ThinkAdvisor brand.
The new Life/Health channel under ThinkAdvisor features an e-newsletter and social media community for readers in the life and health insurance industry previously covered by its publications LifeHealthPro, National Underwriter Life and Health magazine and Producers Web.
National Underwriter Life and Health magazine will no longer be printed.
“We don’t serve our readers or marketers by standing still while their industries are transforming,” said Jay Kirsch, president of media at ALM, in a statement. “ALM is proactively meeting the rapidly changing needs of our life/health insurance audience through a single, more comprehensive brand.”
The company is overhauling its business operations. Last week, it turned its weekly National Law Journal into a monthly publication. Last year, the company changed Texas Lawyer from a weekly to a monthly publication and switched the Connecticut Law Tribune into an online-only publication. It also switched The Recorder, a California weekly law publication, to an online-only publication.
The company also has publications and events on the property and casualty insurance side, including National Underwriter Property and Casualty magazine, Property Casualty 360, BenefitsPRO, America’s Claims Event.
