Alison Smith, a reporter at the Financial Times, is leaving the business newspaper after more than 20 years.
Smith is the FT’s chief corporate correspondent. Her positions at the paper have included political correspondent, financial services correspondent, Lex writer, UK companies editor and, most recently, leader writer.
“At the moment I am intending to leave business journalism,” said Smith in an email to Talking Biz News. “Instead, I plan to volunteer with a literacy charity and to help with my local food bank.”
