Ann-Marie Alcántara, a retail reporter covering e-commerce, with a focus on digitally native vertical brands at Adweek, is leaving the organization to join The Wall Street Journal.
Previously, Alcántara was first working as an assistant tech editor and then as an assistant news and culture editor at PopSugar. Before that, she was an editorial intern at The Bold Italic and also held the post of communications assistant at More Than Me.
She also served as an editorial fellow at BuzzFeed and as an editorial news intern at Mashable. She was also with The Nature Co., where she first served as a media and public relations intern and then as a marketing intern.
Alcántara also held the post of sales associate at the American Eagle Outfitters.
Alcántara is a B.A. in environmental studies and urban studies from Vassar College.
