Albuquerque Biz First publisher promoted to ACBJ position

Albuquerque Business First publisher Ian Anderson has been promoted to managing director of product development at the newspaper’s parent company, American City Business Journals.

Business First editor Rachel Sams writes, “In that role, he will serve as a liaison between ACBJ local markets and the corporate product development team.

“The search for a new publisher for ABF has begun, and Anderson will assist with the transition until the new publisher comes on board.

“‘I’m thrilled with the opportunity to help lead the evolution of our company’s digital products at a time where they could not be more critical for our organization,’ Anderson said. ‘It has been an absolute privilege to serve as publisher of Albuquerque Business First, and I’m confident that I can continue to impact its quality from my new position in Charlotte.’

“During Anderson’s tenure, ABF grew at a rapid rate during a time of change in the media industry. ABF revenue, audience and Web traffic have all increased by double-digit percentages.”
