Managing editor Melissa Mangini has been promoted to editor of the Albany Business Review, replacing the retiring Mike Hendricks.
Hendricks writes, “As managing editor, Mangini has been responsible for the daily operations of the Business Review’s newsroom the past three years. During her time as managing editor, the Business Review consistently won awards from the New York Press Association for reporting, design, breaking news and feature writing.
“A graduate of Syracuse University, Mangini joined the Business Review seven years ago and has held several editing positions in the newsroom. She has won three prestigious international Society of News Design awards and several awards from the New York Press Association for her work as design editor.
“She was a driving force in leading the Business Review’s transition to a digital daily news operation while overseeing the paper’s weekly edition.”
