Schwartz is now a project manager at Behan Communications, which has offices in Albany and Glens Falls.
Schwartz was an editor for nearly eight years at the American City Business Journals newspaper and played a leading role in the transition to a digital-first newsroom, an effort that included a reimagining of the print edition. That redesign won three international awards from the Society for News Design in 2014.
He had been weekly edition editor since August 2013. Before that, he was an associate editor of the Business Review since 2008.
Between 2002 and 2008, he was a music critic and business reporter at The Daily Gazette in Schenectady.
Born and raised in Peekskill, N.Y., Schwartz graduated with honors from the State University of New York at Geneseo with a degree in English.
