Greg Akers, who has been managing editor of the Memphis Business Journal since August 2014, has been promoted to editor in chief of the American City Business Journals paper.
A story on its website states, “Prior to joining MBJ, Akers held leadership roles with Contemporary Media Inc., including as the former editor of Inside Memphis Business and Collierville and Germantown magazines; film and TV editor at the Memphis Flyer; and contributing editor of Memphis magazine.
