Adweek names Paterik its managing editor, promotes others

Stephanie Paterik has been promoted to managing editor at Adweek, and the publication announced a number of other promotions as part of a reorganization.

She had been digital executive editor, leading the editing and art teams for Adweek.com and Adweek’s social channels. She has also been its senior web editor, and a business reporter at the Arizona Republic in Phoenix.

In addition, digital managing editor David Griner has been named Adweek’s first director of digital initiatives, overseeing newsroom innovation. He’s been covering agencies, creativity, technology and marketing innovation for more than a decade and is host of Adweek’s podcast, “Yeah, That’s Probably an Ad.”

Editor Lisa Granatstein will have an expanded role across the magazine and digital, helping shape its coverage across all channels.

Longtime Adweek writer Emma Bazilian has been promoted to features editor while TV writer Jason Lynch has been promoted to senior editor for TV and streaming coverage.

Tech writer Lauren Johnson has been promoted to a senior editor on the tech team. Staff writer and Adweek podcast producer Kristina Monllos has been promoted to senior editor on the brand marketing team.

Writer Patrick Coffee has also been promoted to senior editor while web editor Aneya Fernando has been promoted to digital projects manager.
