David Kaplan is returning back to Adweek as a story desk editor.
Kaplan first joined the company in 2001 as a media reporter and left in 2004. His new role starts Oct. 12.
Kaplan is also the founding editor of Kambr Media Group (KMG), which is the content arm of Kamb, Inc. and publisher of “kambr.media”, an online-only news publication covering the evolution and impact of digital technology on commercial aviation.
Before that, he was at Yext for more than 5 years, holding several roles, including managing editor – GeoMarketing, managing editor and director – industry insights.
Kaplan has also served as a video/publishing editor at AdExchanger.com and was managing editor at TVExchanger.com. He has also served as a NY correspondent for Paidcontent.
He has also worked at ContentNext Media and was an account director at Trylon SMR. Kaplan has also worked at MediaPost and Broadcasting Cable magazine.
He has also served as New England reporter for American Banker/Bond Buyer – Thomson Financial.
