Acuris, which owns Mergermarket and Dealreporter, has hired Joshua Armstrong to be its Southeast bureau chief in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Armstrong had been an industry editor for S&P Global Market Intelligence for the past three years, managing a staff of five reporters. He oversaw regulatory and congressional coverage for bank and thrift news.
He previously was an associate editor and an associate copy editor for SNL Financial, which was acquired by S&P. He also worked at the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner in Alaska.
Armstrong holds degrees from the University of Florida and Arizona State University.
