Streetwise Media, a unit of American City Business Journals, is launching ChicagoInno to cover technology news in the Chicago area.
It also operates BostInno in Boston and IntheCapital in Washington.
Chicago Inno’s core team will consist of general manager Will Flanagan, a former member of the Chicago tech startup community; staff writer Jim Dallke, an experienced community newspaper writer; and senior account executive Anthony Morris, formerly an Amazon.com executive.
“Chicago Inno is visual, it’s fun, it’s informative, but most of all it’s a resource where we can be honest about any shortcomings and celebrate successes as a community,” said Flanagan in a statement. “Our team wants to collaborate with everyone from the bigwigs to startups and students in the city, so stay tuned for monthly meet-ups at area bars and exciting, quarterly events.”
