ACBJ papers rolling out smart phone apps

The weekly business newspapers published by Charlotte-based American City Business Journals have been rolled out applications for iPhone and Android users, with apps for Blackberries and iPads to follow.

A story on the Phoenix Business Journal site states, “The new smartphone application includes additional article category headers at the top of the home page, so readers can easily find the latest online daily news articles, as well as access the most-read and most-emailed articles.

“Across the bottom of the app, readers will find four main category headers, including news, industries (news items sorted by industry), premium content with articles from the weekly print edition for subscribers only, and events, with links to major Business Journal events.

“The Phoenix Business Journal is among several publications owned by Charlotte, N.C.-based American City Business Journals to launch new mobile applications over the past few weeks. ACBJ is rolling out an updated Blackberry and iPad app soon. A release date for Phoenix has not been set.”
