The Board of Governors of the Society of American Business Editors and Writers has elected Beth Hunt, manager of editorial operations for American City Business Journals, as secretary of the organization.
“Beth will bring an important new perspective, that of the weekly business journals, to our top leadership,†said Greg McCune, SABEW’s president. “In her short period on the board, she has shown leadership as a member of the search committee for the organization’s new executive director, as the new chair of the Best in Business contest committee and as a fundraiser during our recent Challenge Grant drive.â€
Hunt has been with ACBJ for 20 years. In her current job, she provides counsel on training, recruiting, staff development and idea-sharing to the company’s 41 editors. ACBJ, based in Charlotte, is the country’s largest publisher of weekly business journals.
