American City Business journals, which operates more than 40 business newspapers across the country, has hired Shafaq Patel to cover minority business out of its Houston Business Journal newsroom.
Patel had worked at the ACBJ-owned Boston Business Journal this summer as an intern.
She has also interned at the Boston Globe through the Dow Jones News Fund.
Patel is a graduate of Emerson College in Boston.
