Jennifer Hicks, Wall Street Journal’s digital news editor, sent out the following announcement on Friday:
All,
We’re excited to announce that Jim Jaworski will be joining our team as a senior platform editor, working Saturday through Tuesday evenings. He’ll start next Tuesday and spend a week or two on days so he can meet everyone and get settled.
Jim joins us from Chicago, so feel free to pepper him with your best NYC tips as you show him the ropes. Here’s a little more about him:
Jim was born and raised in the Chicago area. He is a graduate of Columbia College Chicago and started his journalism career reporting for The Doings Newspapers in Hinsdale, Ill. After a couple years, Jim was hired by the Chicago Tribune as a suburban reporter. He later joined the Tribune’s digital desk, working his way up to Senior Content Editor. Jim is a novice fiddle player, volunteers as an ESL teacher and enjoys science fiction.
Please join me in welcoming Jim to the Journal.
Best,
Jennifer
