Test-driving new features at Las Vegas Business Press

Matt Ward, the new editor of the Las Vegas Business Press, writes about his philosophy of what makes business news and how the paper will cover news.

Ward wrote, “As editor, I will deliver on the same promise I make as a writer — fair, informative, accurate stories you can utilize to discern the contours of your business, your community, your interests and your lifestyle. Only now, I am both protector of tradition — it’s one of excellence, I might add — and harbinger of things to come, which includes more of what makes the Business Press the best business publication in Southern Nevada.

“Whether it’s in-depth stories about new commercial development, issues related to health, housing and income, or personal investments and banking, the Business Press is on top of it for you. We will even be test-driving new columns and profile-style features.

“My door is always open. Any feedback is much appreciated. I respond to every e-mail and phone call. If you have questions or story ideas, don’t hesitate to contact me. It’s your publication, after all. We make every effort to continuously improve the quality of this paper’s content. That tradition continues with me.”
