The Yomiuri Shimbun, the largest circulation newspaper in Japan, and Dow Jones & Co. announced Tuesday a multi-year partnership to launch a co-branded Japanese business news service.
Dow Jones Yomiuri Shimbun Pro will launch in early 2025.
The news service will combine Yomiuri Shimbun’s reporting network in Japan with financial and business news in Japanese and English from Dow Jones Newswires, Barron’s, MarketWatch, Investor’s Business Daily, OPIS energy news and curated content from The Wall Street Journal.
Additionally, Dow Jones will contribute product, technology and operational expertise to the partnership, including its newswire platform that presents financial news and information via a real-time news dashboard.
“Now more than ever, business leaders around the world need trusted news, information and analysis to make informed decisions,” said Almar Latour, the CEO of Dow Jones and the publisher of The Journal, in a statement. “This partnership with Yomiuri Shimbun is key to ensuring Japanese professionals have access to the best, most reliable information available, and to expanding the reach of Dow Jones’s products and services.”
