Yahoo Finance has struck a deal with Coinbase to add cryptocurrency prices and other information to its website.
Users of the financial website will be able to make cryptocurrency trades by clicking on a button. Over time, Yahoo Finance will integrate Coinbase data and insights across its platform.
Yahoo Finance also plans to launch a crypto hub on its website. With coverage from more than a dozen leading publishers, the crypto hub will serve as a standalone Yahoo Finance destination for crypto news, data, and analysis.
“This partnership addresses a clear shift in investor behavior toward considering digital assets alongside traditional investments,” said George Leimer, general manager of Yahoo Finance, in a statement. “Coinbase is a leader in building the next generation of investing infrastructure, and together we see an opportunity to create smarter, more intuitive experiences that meet investors where they are—and where they’re going. It aims to serve the everyday investors who are increasingly exploring crypto investments but don’t necessarily need advanced trading tools.
