Josh Schafer has been named a Yahoo Finance markets reporter. Since April 2021, he had been working both reporting and producing roles.
In his new role, Schafer will cover trending stock stories, economic data and other things that move markets.
Previously, he worked as a Wisconsin Athletics beat reporter at 247Sports. He also wrote features and game coverage for The Boston Globe’s Sports section. He interned at Yahoo.
Schafer has a bachelor’s degree in broadcast and digital journalism from S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University.
