Yahoo finance has hired Emma Ockerman as a senior reporter covering labor and the economy.
Ockerman has been an audience engagement specialist for Nikkei Asia in New York.
She previously worked at MarketWatch.com on its personal finance team. Ockerman was also at Vice News as a general assignment reporter covering economic inequality.
She previously was at Bloomberg News covering U.S. equities for the First Word team and health care and insurance markets for the health team. She also compiled data for special projects and reported on foreign exchange and rates. She previously interned on the power and gas team.
Ockerman, an Ohio University graduate, also interned for the Detroit Free-Press and the Washington Post. She was also editor in chief of the Athens Post.
