Stella Xie is joining Nikkei’s New York bureau to focus on U.S. finance, trade, economic policy and geopolitics, and what it means for Asia.
She has been a Knight-Bagehot Fellow at Columbia University for the past year.
Xie is an award-winning correspondent for Nikkei Asia, writing mainly about China and global trade. Previously, she worked for the Wall Street Journal, where she covered China’s economy, real estate and capital markets.
She has also worked as a producer for “Marketplace” and as a researcher at the China Economic Review in Shanghai.
