WSJ’s Somerville takes on the tech and national security beat

Heather Somerville

After returning from maternity leave, Heather Somerville has taken on the role of technology and national security beat at The Wall Street Journal.

She joined the Journal in June 2019 as a technology reporter.

Previously, Somerville worked as a technology reporter at Thomson Reuters. She also worked as a business and tech reporter at San Jose Mercury News and as a higher education and K-12 reporter at The Fresno Bee.

She also worked as an editorial assistant at The Charlotte Observer.

Somerville has a B.A. from Colorado State University and a M.S. from Northwestern University.
