Wall Street Journal reporter Andrew Restuccia, who has been covering the White House for the past seven years, is moving to the politics team to cover the intersection of domestic policy and politics.
He joined the Journal in 2019 after a seven-year stint at Politico. During his time at Politico, he wrote about policy and politics, as well as the 2016 presidential transition from Barack Obama to Donald Trump. He started covering the White House at the beginning of the Trump administration, first at Politico and then at the Journal. He continued on the White House beat when President Biden took office.
Since joining the Journal, he has written a series of stories about how policies being debated in Washington would affect people around the country.
During a 15-year career in Washington, Restuccia has written about a range of policy issues. He got his start in journalism covering energy and environmental policy for several DC-based publications, including The Hill.
He is a Massachusetts native and a graduate of Syracuse University.
