Pratish Narayanan, executive editor, Americas editing hub at Bloomberg News, sent out the note below to the staff on Monday:
All–
I am delighted to announce that Sarah Rabil is joining the Americas Editing Hub, starting today. This is a homecoming for Sarah, who was a star of Bloomberg’s first rotational program. After her rotation, she covered the newspaper (look it up, kids!) industry and Big Entertainment, helped launch the Real M&A column, and then ran the Media & Telecom team.
Sarah is returning to 731 Lex after spending 11 years at the Wall Street Journal, most recently as a senior features editor working on pieces about the biggest business, finance and real estate news. Her stint also included serving as a standards & ethics editor, advising on coverage that won a Pulitzer Prize, and overseeing the newsroom’s hiring and recruiting, including its internship program.
Outside of work, Sarah loves watching live music with her husband (2026 favs were shows by Portland folk trio Joseph and California folk rocker Madison Cunningham), reading (she recently scaled back from three book clubs to two) and making ceramics at a Chelsea studio and experimenting with wood-fired kilns upstate. I know what you’re thinking: That’s all well and good, but does she love cats? The cat-crazy Hub is happy to report that she does, after discovering she is obsessed with the post-apocalyptic, talking-cat-featuring Dungeon Crawler Carl series.
Please join me in welcoming Sarah back to Bloomberg!
