
Wall Street Journal reporter Sean McLain is moving to the Tesla and robotaxis beat.
He has been covering Amazon, based in Los Angeles.
Before moving to Los Angeles, McLain was a foreign correspondent in New Delhi and Tokyo. While he was based in he, Sean covered Japanese car companies.
McLain is the co-author of “Boundless,” a book about Carlos Ghosn, and was awarded the Malcolm Forbes Award by the Overseas Press Club of America for his coverage of the arrest and detention of the former Nissan and Renault chief. The book served as the basis of a documentary miniseries about Ghosn’s career, arrest and flight from Japan.
He is a graduate of St. John’s College.
