Wall Street Journal reporter Dana Mattioli has signed a contract with Little, Brown to write a book about Amazon.com Inc., currently called “The Everything War.”
Mattioli is a Pulitzer Prize finalist and a Gerald Loeb Award winner.
She previously spent six years on the mergers and acquisitions beat before moving to the Amazon beat two-plus years ago. Often working with colleagues in our deals group or biz/finance reporters world-wide, Mattioli delivered a relentless string of exclusives including on some of the biggest and most-important deals in recent years, such as CVS/Aetna, Shell/BG and Berkshire Hathaway/Precision Castparts.
She has also written leaders on the beat, including on Amazon’s impact on dealmaking.
Before joining the M&A team, she covered retail and distinguished the Journal with her work on Kodak, JCPenney and Orbitz.
