WSJ’s Gottfried moves to individual investing, wealth management beat

Wall Street Journal reporter Miriam Gottfried is now covering individual investing and wealth management.

She has been covering private equity since September 2017.

Before that, she wrote for the “Heard on the Street” column, writing analysis and commentary about investing in media, telecommunications and retail companies.

Before that, she spent three years at Barron’s magazine, writing weekly features that made a case for, or against, investment in a stock or sector. She also wrote a daily morning feature called “Barron’s Take” assessing the investment opportunities arising from a stock that is moving.

Gottfried has also written for SmartMoney, ForbesCrain’s Chicago Business and The Oregonian.

She graduated from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism in 2009 with a concentration in business and economics.
