WSJ’s DeRosa joining Pensions & Investments

Anthony DeRosa

Anthony DeRosa has been hired by Pensions & Investments in the newly created role of digital content director.

He will start Dec. 19 in New York.

DeRosa was most recently audience editor for The Wall Street Journal’s U.S. news coverage.

“Anthony is the dream multimedia business and finance journalist,” said Jennifer Ablan, editor in chief and chief content editor at Pensions & Investments, in a statement. “Anthony is a trailblazer in our industry, and he loves to look for new ways to innovate and experiment with various forms of storytelling. I’m excited to have him as a huge part of our newsroom transformation.”

Before joining the Journal, he was digital production manager for “The Daily Show,’’ where his Emmy Award-winning team built a digital department for the relaunch with Trevor Noah as host. Before that, DeRosa was editor in chief of the news app Circa, which broke new ground on news summarization and led the way in mobile-first news thinking.

Prior to Circa, DeRosa was a well-known Reuters columnist, a TV host and he led social media and live coverage of breaking news events for Reuters.com.

He began his career with jobs as a web developer and product manager.
