WSJ’s Dennis hired by NPR

Yvonne Dennis

Yvonne Dennis has joined NPR as senior editor for editorial review.

Dennis came to NPR from the Wall Street Journal, where she spent nearly two decades as a news editor, editing print and digital content.

In addition to her work at the Journal, she has been an adjunct professor of journalism at Temple University, the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY, the College of New Jersey, and Hunter College.

Before the Journal, Dennis spent 12 years at the Philadelphia Daily News. She is a graduate of Utica College.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
