WSJ taps Restuccia as its White House editor

Wall Street Journal reporter Andrew Restuccia has been named the publication’s White House editor.

Restuccia has been covering the White House for The Journal, focusing on domestic policy, foreign policy and the economy.

He joined the Journal in 2019 after a seven-year stint at Politico. During his time at Politico, he wrote about policy and politics, as well as the 2016 presidential transition from Barack Obama to Donald Trump. He started covering the White House at the beginning of the Trump administration, first at Politico and then at the Journal. He continued on the White House beat when President Biden took office.

Since joining the Journal, he has written a series of stories about how policies being debated in Washington would affect people around the country.

During a 15-year career in Washington, Restuccia has written about a range of policy issues. He got his start in journalism covering energy and environmental policy for several DC-based publications, including The Hill.

He is a graduate of Syracuse University.
