WSJ reporter Whelan moves to tech beat

Wall Street Journal reporter Robbie Whelan is now covering artificial intelligence, chips and machine learning, including NVIDIA.

He has been covering Walt Disney Co. and other Hollywood studios and previously spent 18 months covering COVID.

Whelan has also been a correspondent based in Mexico City, covering corporate news, economics, politics, migration, crime and general news.

From April 2010 until October 2016, he worked as a reporter in the Journal’s New York City office, covering the U.S. housing market, commercial real estate companies, real-estate stocks and the logistics and shipping industry.

Previously, Robbie worked for the Baltimore Sun and the The Daily Record of Baltimore.
