Spegele is currently a reporter for the financial enterprise team in New York, where he covers global financial and business issues. He previously lived in Beijing for seven years, where he covered Chinese politics and business for the Journal, including the rise of President Xi Jinping and his consolidation of power.
Brian speaks Mandarin Chinese and earned an MBA from Columbia Business School, where he served as a Knight-Bagehot fellow.
