Wall Street Journal reporter Mark Maurer is now covering private equity on the Wall Street team.
He has been covering accounting and corporate finance for the CFO Journal team since 2019. He completed the Knight-Bagehot fellowship program in economics and business journalism at Columbia University that year.
Maurer previously was at The Real Deal, where he reported on New York City real estate, generating scoops on large property deals, development and financing. His reporting won seven awards from the National Association of Real Estate Editors, includes an in-depth look at the Hasidic community’s New York City real estate investments.
He is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University, where he earned a B.A. in Journalism.
