Jacob Gershman

Wall Street Journal reporter Jacob Gershman has left the news organization for another opportunity.

His last day was May 23.

Gershman covered law for The Journal. He covered various topics related to law, technology, and public policy, often focusing on the implications of legal decisions and legislation. Recently, he reported on issues such as the crackdown on election deepfakes and the associated free speech concerns, highlighting the complexities of balancing regulation and constitutional rights

He previously wrote about New York politics for the Journal and the New York Sun.

Chris Roush

Chris Roush was the dean of the School of Communications at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. He was previously Walter E. Hussman Sr. Distinguished Professor in business journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill. He is a former business journalist for Bloomberg News, Businessweek, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Tampa Tribune and the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. He is the author of the leading business reporting textbook "Show me the Money: Writing Business and Economics Stories for Mass Communication" and "Thinking Things Over," a biography of former Wall Street Journal editor Vermont Royster.
