WSJ names Steinberg its metals and mining reporter

Wall Street Journal reporter Julie Steinberg is taking over the metals and mining beat.

She will remain based in London.

Steinberg previously was covering European investors including hedge funds, asset managers and pension funds. She previously covered finance for the Journal in Hong Kong and New York.

She and a colleague won a SABEW award for their coverage of brokerage firm MF Global’s implosion, and she was nominated for a British Journalism Award for her coverage of Greensill Capital. She earlier reported for FINS.com, the finance career website from The Journal.
