All:
I am thrilled to announce that Jamieson Lesko will be joining The Wall Street Journal as Executive Producer of International. She will be based in London, overseeing teams there and in Singapore.
Jamieson comes to the Journal with decades of international reporting experience and news production leadership with NBC News, MSNBC and CNN. While based in London for NBC News, she reported from over 25 countries across network, cable and digital platforms. Her responsibilities have included serving as Bureau Chief in Kabul, Afghanistan, and coverage throughout Libya, Egypt, Tunisia, Kenya, across Europe, the Baltics and Balkans.
During her time at MSNBC, Jamieson was an Executive Producer, leading primetime programs through periods of record ratings growth. She also guided coverage of breaking news stories on location in Israel, Lebanon and Cyprus during the war of 2006, the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, the London terror bombings and across the U.S. during the historic 2008 presidential election. Lesko worked at CNN in Atlanta and New York, where she was recognized for her contributions to the network’s Emmy awarded live coverage of the 9/11 attacks, and subsequent wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
She teaches graduate level journalism courses at Harvard, focusing on Foreign Correspondence, News Reporting and Writing, in addition to serving as a Master’s Capstone Advisor.
Jamieson is joining the video team at a time of growth and ambitious journalistic goals, and her leadership will only help us get there faster. Please join me in welcoming her to The Wall Street Journal.
