The Wall Street Journal has named Spencer Jakab its investing columnist.
Its Markets A.M. newsletter is being revamped and will feature analysis by Jakab.
Jakab has been editor of the Journal’s “Heard on the Street” since 2019 and deputy editor of Heard since 2015. He wrote the “Ahead of the Tape” column for years before that.
In his new role, he will contribute to Heard but give up his editing duties.
Before the Journal, Jakab worked at the Financial Times and here at Dow Jones Newswires, and was a stock analyst at Credit Suisse. He is the author of “Heads I Win, Tails I Win,” which is, naturally, a book about investing.
