The Wall Street Journal has tapped Kelly Crow, John Jurgensen, Ellen Gamerman and Lane Florsheim as style news reporters on the Journal’s newly launched style news desk.
Crow was previously covering the art market since 2006 as a staff reporter. Prior to that, she was at The New York Times, working on the city desk, covering city government, neighborhoods and the September 11 attacks.
Crow began her career in 1995 at the Edmond Evening Sun and graduated from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism.
Jurgensen has been covering music, television and entertainment for the Journal. Before that, he was a reporter at The Associated Press and The Hartford Courant in Hartford, CT. Jurgensen graduated from Columbia University – Graduate School of Journalism.
Gamerman was recently an arts and culture reporter at the Journal. She has been with the Journal for over 17 years, previously serving as a family and education reporter. Before that, she wrote national news features for The Baltimore Sun from its Washington bureau.
Prior to that, covered local news in Annapolis for the Sun. Gamerman graduated from Swarthmore College.
Florsheim recently held the post of staff writer at the Wall Street Journal Magazine. She was also a former digital editor, producing all Off Duty and WSJ print content for online. She has also worked at Marie Claire, The New Republic and Bustle.com.
She has also interned at Boston Magazine and is a graduate of Tufts University.
