
The Wall Street Journal Leadership Institute has hired Gwendolyn Bounds, a former Journal reporter, to be senior vice president and head of content.
She will define and implement its content strategy, including programming for member events.
Bounds has held top leadership roles at SmartNews, a Tokyo-based news aggregator, and Consumer Reports. She also spent two decades at The Journal in multiple leadership and content development roles earlier in her career.
In recent years, Bounds has also become a world-class obstacle course racer and written a book on her journey called “Never Too Late.”
Bounds is a UNC-Chapel Hill graduate.
