Wall Street Journal investigations coverage chief Christopher Stewart has left the publication.
In an email to colleagues, he wrote:
Hi all,Today is my last day at the Journal. It’s been almost 15 years, which is kind of hard to believe — starting on the media desk before landing in investigations. I’ve gotten to work with so many of you over the years, and I’m grateful for all of it. It’s been a wonderful run and I will miss everything about this place, especially all of you.
Earlier, as a reporter for the Journal, he was part of a team awarded the Pulitzer Prize for investigative reporting for a series exposing abuses in the Medicare system. He has won multiple Gerald Loeb awards.
Stewart is the author of three books, including “Hunting the Tiger: The Fast Life and Violent Death of the Balkans’ Most Dangerous Man” and “Drone Warrior: An Elite Soldier’s Inside Account of the Hunt for America’s Most Dangerous Enemies.”
He served as deputy editor at the New York Observer and is a former contributing editor at Conde Nast Portfolio. He has also written for many publications, including GQ, the Paris Review, and Harper’s.
