The Wall Street Journal has hired Bonnie Wertheim to be deputy editor in its new styles news desk.
She will start next week.
Wertheim has been at The New York Times for the past eight years, most recently as a senior staff editor for news stories and features on technology and internet culture.
She also worked as a staff editor on the Styles section of the Times.
Wertheim is a graduate of Hamilton College, where she was editor in chief of the student newspaper.
