WSJ hires Mitovich as news associate

Jared Mitovich

The Wall Street Journal has hired Jared Mitovich as a news associate.

He will start in September and will participate in a two-year rotational program that provides exposure to core aspects of the newsroom through on-the-job training, including six months reporting in a regional U.S. news bureau.

Mitovich served as the 140th editor-in-chief of The Daily Pennsylvanian and is currently an intern at WHYY News in Philadelphia. He previously interned at Politico, CNBC, Yahoo Finance, and The Philadelphia Inquirer.

He plans to graduate from the University of Pennsylvania in May with a double major in political science and communication, and a minor in data science and analytics.

In January, Mitovich became the first Penn student ever awarded an Overseas Press Club Foundation scholarship.
