The Wall Street Journal has hired Hannah Miao as a markets reporter.
She will start later this month.
Miao has been at CNBC covering markets. She started with the company last September as an intern writing for CNBC.com’s politics and health teams.
Previously, she worked as a marketing intern at The New York Times and NBCUniversal and also freelanced for INDY Week and Cleveland Scene.
Miao is a 2021 graduate of Duke University, where she majored in public policy and won the Joel Fleishman Distinguished Scholar Award.
