“Thrilled to join the team here and to start digging in to how science and tech are shaping what’s to come,” he wrote on Twitter.
He previously was a reporter/producer in the WNYC Newsroom, and a producer/host for the local edition of NPR’s “Consider This.”
Born and raised in Brooklyn, Lewis has been with WNYC since 2014, first as an intern and then as a producer and reporter. Since joining the station, he has covered the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on everything from restaurants to the power grid and reported on how the NYPD continued to police low-level infractions while facing calls for reform.
He’s also covered shows of controversial comics art and investigated whether New York City’s water is really the secret ingredient behind our world-renowned pizza.
