The Wall Street Journal has hired Carlos Garcia to work as a production assistant on its daily podcast “The Journal.”
Garcia has co-hosted episodes on NPR’s “Planet Money” and NPR’s “The Indicator.” His work has also been published at NPR’s Morning Edition, and City & State NY.
He is a recipient of the 2025 Overseas Press Club Scholar Award for his coverage of the NYC migrant crisis.
He holds a master’s degree in journalism with concentrations in business reporting and bilingual reporting from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY. He also holds a master’s degree in French from Middlebury College.
