The Wall Street Journal has hired Bloomberg Opinion columnist David Wainer to write for its “Heard on the Street” column about health care.
He has been covering the business of entertainment and telecom as well as broader business topics for the past few months at Bloomberg Opinion.
Previously, Wainer wrote about U.S. foreign policy, the United Nations, and climate diplomacy for Bloomberg.com and Businessweek magazine. He was the Elizabeth Neuffer Gold Medal Recipient in 2019 for best print journalism at the United Nations.
He previously was Tel Aviv deputy bureau chief, a health care reporter, and an emerging markets reporter at Bloomberg.
Wainer is a graduate of Boston University.
